Born in Australia and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computing from Latrobe University followed by a career in information technology in Australia and then Japan after moving to Tokyo in 1999. A long time interest in product design became the catalyst for further study and then career change in 2015 after graduating with a Master of Technology in Innovation for Design and Engineering from the Advanced Institute of Industrial Technology in Tokyo.
